Our journey began in 1965. Today it lives on across our hillside vineyards and cellar, bringing bottles crafted to elevate every autumn table.

"Autumn in Apulia invites us to choose wine around the dish and the moments shared together: the warmth of Primitivo, the oak-spiced depth, and the elegance of our land."

A Family Heritage in Mottola Since 1965

For the Dalena family, winemaking means cherishing a multi-generational devotion to the land. In 1965, this passion came to life on the hills of Mottola, in the province of Taranto.

The heart of our production lies in Contrada San Sabino across approximately ten hectares of estate vineyards. Traditional knowledge meets contemporary oenology through tailored vinification: hand harvesting, temperature-controlled fermentation, and specific skin-contact maceration for each bottle.

This breadth is precisely what makes choosing our wine exciting. A single varietal yields distinct expressions, while artisanal blends allow different grape varieties to harmonize gracefully.

Minguccio Primitivo for Season’s Heartiest Dishes

A Sunday family gathering, rich pasta with meat ragù, or a succulent roast carving at the table: these are the moments for Minguccio, our Primitivo IGP Salento, a deep, luminous ruby red with ripe fruit and spice bouquets.

Skin contact maceration extends over twelve days at controlled temperatures. In the glass, it delivers an assertive, warm, and enveloping taste supported by balanced acidity and prominent noble tannins. At 15.5% ABV, it pairs perfectly with robust meats, cured charcuterie, and aged cheeses.

For an autumn table, we suggest pairing it with slow-cooked braised beef or aged pecorino. Served between 15°C and 18°C, it accompanies rich culinary creations with elegance and character.

Limus and the Spiced Warmth of Oak Barriques

Equal proportions of Primitivo and Negroamaro converge in Limus, a 14.5% ABV Salento IGP red. Following fifteen days of skin maceration, the wine matures in first-passage 225-liter French oak barriques, imparting captivating toasted and spicy nuances.

Its palate is warm, deep, and enveloping, with vibrant freshness and structured tannins. To elevate an autumn menu, pair it with rosemary herb roast or braised beef stew, where slow cooking matches this wine’s depth.

We recommend serving between 14°C and 16°C—an optimal temperature to appreciate its layered bouquet without serving too warm.

Primitivo Amabile: Red Berries and Dried Figs

For those who cherish a naturally smooth and rounded sip, Primitivo Amabile IGP Salento is a delightful choice. Its ruby red color is accompanied by aromas of wild red fruits, fruit compote, and dried figs—flavors that fit effortlessly into autumn gatherings.

Grapes harvested in early September undergo twelve days of skin maceration. The palate reveals velvet smoothness, pleasant acidity, and supple tannins at 15% ABV.

Served between 15°C and 18°C, it shines alongside hearty peasant dishes, rich stews, or savory regional cheeses that complement its gentle sweetness.

Crisp Whites and Rosés for a Fresh Autumn Perspective

An autumn meal can also commence with a crisp, refreshing glass. Omero, a semi-sparkling Salento IGP white from Bianco d’Alessano e Fiano grapes, boasts fine perlage, exotic fruit aromas, and refreshing minerality. At 10.5% ABV, served chilled at 6–8°C, it makes an ideal aperitif with fresh cheeses and delicate cold cuts.

For delicate primi such as a velvety pumpkin risotto without heavy spices, we recommend Chiatro, a white-vinified Negroamaro IGP Puglia. Vinification without skins produces a radiant straw-yellow wine with fine floral and orchard aromas at 12% ABV, best enjoyed at 8–10°C.

At the same temperature, bring Anna Rosé to the table—a Negroamaro Salento IGP rosé crafted with gentle two-hour skin contact. Crisp red berries and delightful savoriness make it wonderful with roasted fish fillets and autumn potatoes.

Esperide and the Warmth of Everyday Conviviality

Within our dedicated banqueting collection, Esperide is an amabile red wine from a carefully chosen grape blend. Boasting 12.5% ABV, a vibrant ruby robe with violet highlights, and fresh berry notes, it offers an approachable and enjoyable profile.

Its mission is to accompany family dining—from savory meatballs in tomato sauce to traditional meat courses. Served at 16–18°C, it is the ideal pleasant red to share generously.
